Window Cleaning

  • Do you clean both inside and outside?

Absolutely. Although, we don't offer inside only. The reason for this is because the outside is usually dirty, thus you woudn't be able to tell if the inside was cleaned.

  • If I have screens, do I need to take them down before you clean the windows?

Yes, and no. This depends. We offer screen cleaning services, which includes removal, cleaning, and putting them back. However, if you want the best value in exterior only cleaning, you'll need to take the screens off in advance unless you're paying us to take them down.

For job where interior window cleaning is performed, taking the screens off and putting them back on is included in the price.

  • Do you move furniture?

Yes, and no. It's nearly impossible to determine who will and who will not have furniture blocking their windows when we do our estimates, so we ask that you pull back any furniture away from the window giving us about 3 feet of space. We will still move basic furniture like dining chairs, ottomans, etc.

  • Do you clean basement windows?

Yes, and no. It depends. We always clean standard windows, even if they are in the basement (like an egress window), however, we do not clean small hopper style windows.

  • How high can you clean?

We have the capability of cleaning up to 4 stories high from the ground. We do not repel for window cleaning, so high-rise buildings are not our specialty.

  • Do you clean skylights?

We only clean the exterior of skylights. Interior skylight cleaning should be done by a handiman since the best way to clean these are by hand using a spray vs. soap and water.

  • How much does window cleaning cost?

As of now, our pricing starts at $200 + sales tax. Our average job is just under $400. Of course, there's  a few factors that impact price, like: quantity of windows, height of the building, service requested, etc.

  • Do you carry insurance?

Yes. We carry a $1 Million liability policy, $2 Million aggregate, as well as worker's compesation.

  • Do you remesh screens or repair screen frames?

We will replace screen mesh when we damage it. I'm affraid to say that it happens, but occasional accidents do occur. We do basic screen frame repair when we damage it. Otherwise, we send your screens to the pros to have them replace it. We then bring it back and install it.

Gutter Cleaning

  • How do you get rid of the refuse?

This depends on where you live. If there's a woods lining your property, we will scatter all refuse there. If your property is lining others property, we will place in a leaf collection bag and leave the bag(s) at your curb for the next refuse pickup. It will be your responsibiity to contact your trash company if they require it for removal of this type of waste.

  • How much does this cost?

Pricing starts at $250. Every home is different though in terms of complexity, height, length, etc, so  each job is quoted with these variations in mind. The average gutter cleaning job is around $400 though.

  • When is the best time to have gutters cleaned?

To keep your home safe from water damage, it's essential to clean your gutters at least twice a year: once in the spring and once in the fall. Cleaning them in the spring will remove any debris that may have accumulated over the winter, while cleaning them in the fall will prevent leaves and other debris from clogging them up during the winter months. Depending on the number of trees around your home and the weather conditions in your area, you may need to clean your gutters more often.

  • What method do you use?

We use a few different methods. We hand scoop gutters, and use manual tools. We don't use vacuums, but we do use leaf blowers when it makes sense to use them.

What's in the gutters isn't always dry, and often contain muck. For this reason, gutter vacuums get clogged quickly, and leaf blowers can make your house and surrounding areas messy. So it's imperative that we choose out tools properly.

While we work, we may allow your gutter contents to collect on the ground as we empty them out, but we will go around and collect all that bulk and put in waste bags ready for disposal at your curb.

  • How can I tell if my downspouts are clogged?

If you see an overflow of water in your gutters, it's not draining properly. The likely cause is your down spouts, but the entry to your downspout could be blocked as well. A blocked entry to the downspout could prevent flow, even if the downspout is fully clear.

  • What are the benefits of having clean gutters?

For all the problems dirty gutters cause, is all the reasons you will find benefits.

    • Smooth flow of water away from your home and structures
    • Gutters will remain in place, and not sag under the weight of a clogged gutter
    • Critters are less likely to find clean gutters as a place to call home
    • Mold and mildew growth will be reduced

The list goes on and on

Gutter Guards & Leaf Protection

  • Will icicles form on my gutters?

It can happen, and we cannot guarantee it will not. This is the case with ANY gutter guard.

The best way to deal with ice dams is to have properly installed heating elements installed by licensed electricians in good standing.

  • Will my gutters be maintenance free?

LeafBlaster Pro gutter guards are designed for minimal maintenance, though all gutter guards require some upkeep.  We recommend using The Gutter Guard Brush for easy cleaning from the ground (no ladder needed).  Register your LeafBlaster Pro product to receive a free brush (shipping and handling extra).

  • Will moss or mildew grow on my gutters?

Moss can grow on virtually any surface except copper and zinc, including all types of gutter guards and roofs.  If moss is growing on your roof, it's likely it will grow on your gutter guards as well, regardless of any manufacturer claims about their mesh.  While several moss control products exist (see links below), their effectiveness isn't guaranteed.

For more information on moss, see:

    Some commercial products include:

  • Can Leafblaster be used for rain collection?

This gutter guard is unique in North America, holding UL approvals for NSF P151 and NSF 372 for rainwater catchment.  Its fine 540-micron stainless steel micro-mesh (meeting ANSI 63-2013) makes it ideal for rainwater harvesting, preventing debris like leaves, needles, and grit from entering storage tanks.  This single product serves as the sole pre-filtration needed for non-potable water systems.

  • Is there a warranty for Leafblaster?

Yes, all LeafBlaster Pro gutter guards are backed by a 40-year warranty of protection against defective parts. We are commited to providing timely and courteous customer service so that your experience is unmatched by any other in the industry. Read the full warranty here

  • How does leafblaster compare

LeafBlaster Pro Stainless Steel Micro-Mesh outperforms other gutter guards in preventing water overflow even in extreme rain conditions.

  • Will debris pile up on my gutters?

The front trough acts as a motivator for the water to go straight into the gutter rather than dripping over the side. Other micro-mesh gutter guards that do not have a trough, and are flat, tend to have water go straight over the gutter causing dripping and unsightly staining on the side of your gutter.

As for debris collecting on top of the gutter guard, with a combination of the wind and the rain, most of the debris typically just blows and washes right off of our gutter guard. However all gutter guards do have to be maintained periodically. Most people blow or brush any remaining debris off of the gutter guard.

Power Washing & House Washing

  • What do I need to do to prepare?

    For a house wash:

    • Move potted plants, furniture away from home
    • Make sure all doors and windows are closed and locked

We will tarp any unmovable objects

    For power washing:

    • Any vehicles, furniture, potted plants, etc need to be free from the surface areas
  • Will oil stains be removed?

It's highly unlikely oil stains will be removed. The will generally be faded after treatment. We do offer solutions for oil stains at an additional price.

  • Will you seal my concrete?

Sealant will usually come off (if it's there) after a high-pressure washing, so we suggest re-sealing the surface. This acts as a protectant against freezing weather related damage as well as staining.

  • Do you clean the gutters when you house wash?

Yes, and no. Yes, in that the exterior surface of your gutters will be included in our estimates, but interior gutter cleaning is a separate service. Why not get them together and save some money?

  • Does house washing get the windows clean?

No. Although we will be washing your house, your windows will not be treated with any of our chemicals. However, they will be rinsed off like the rest of the house. We don't use filters for the water, so any water stains left behind will be the result of how hard your water is. Because of this, we highly recommend a window cleaning within a few days of having your house washed. Get both with us and save!

  • What do you do if you find nests?

If you have birds or bees nesting at your home, and the nests are active, we will work around them. If they are desserted, we can knock them down. Since it's nearly impossible to tell which state they are in, we usually leave them be.

  • What do your service cost?

Our pressure and house washing services begin at $300, but as you can imagine, the size and complexities of surfaces and homes are drammatic. It's always best to get a quote to understand what the exact cost will be.

Holiday Lighting

  • What do I need to do to prepare?

Please be sure one outlet in the front by the entry door is available exclusively to our lighting.

If you have any vehicles parked outside, please keep them away from the home where we might setup ladders

Aside from that, sit back and enjoy the show.

LED Mini lights 6" spacing: pillars, small trees, bushes, railings

LED Pre-lit garlands: fences, pillars, light poles

We also offer pre-lit wreathes with and without bows, and we can build light trees.

  • How much does lighting cost?

Our pricing starts at just $500, however the amount of lights we use, the size of the property, the cmplexity of the work are all factors that impact the price.

  • Do we own the lights?

For seasonal lights, we own them. We offer a hands-off all encompassing service that includes design, provide & install, maintain, and take down. In order for us to insure the safety of the lights, we also store them.

  • When will you take the lights down?

We take lights down starting January 2nd, and will try to have them completed by the end of the month (weather permitting). There are some cases where ice and snow will prevent us from completing this aspect of the job, so you'll have to be a little patient. We will let you know approximately when the takedowns will begin. If you need a specific date for the lights to be taken down, we may charge a fee if it doesn't fall in line with out travel schedule.
